Offerton 5 Multi-terrain Race 2023
How do I get my race number and what time is the Start?
The outdoor registration desk is open from 5.15pm to 6.45pm, the race starts at 7pm. Any runner arriving after 6.45pm will NOT be able to compete.
Can I enter on the day?
The only way to guarantee your place is to book on-line in advance. If there are any of the 250 places left, we will post that on the Stockport Harriers Races FB page on 16 May. The cost of entering on the day is also slightly higher.
I’m not going to be able to participate, do you offer a refund?
In common with the vast majority of races we do not offer refunds or deferrals.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We appreciate that some runners will get injured in the build-up to the race, so we will allow numbers to be transferred up to and including Mon 15 May at 7pm. Requests received after this date will not be permitted. Anyone who runs under someone else’s number will be disqualified and banned from future events. To transfer please get in touch with us using the contact form.
What sort of trainers should I wear?
The route starts and finishes on the track and is approximately 40% on tarmac paths and 60% on trails or grass. So, unless there has been a dry spell for 8-10 days prior to race day, which might make the route suitable for road shoes, you may be more comfortable in trail shoes. Please use your judgement closer to race day when choosing your footwear.
What is the minimum age to be to be able to enter?
You must be 15yrs old on race day.
What do I get for my entry fee?
– Chip Timing
– Prizes for top M&F finishers and M&F AG winners (5 yr age groups)
– Free Race Photos for you to download
– A warm welcome, supportive marshals and free parking within 10 minutes walk from the Stadium
Once the race is sold out do you offer a waiting List?
Once the entry limit of 250 has been reached, you will be placed on a waiting list.
How do I get to there?
Please check out our travel page for detailed information, but because of limited parking adjacent to Woodbank Park we encourage car sharing and/or use of public transport.
Is there any important safety information I should know?
The route is traffic-free, run entirely in Woodbank and Vernon Parks, and on the trails and lanes alongside the Goyt River. There are numerous marshals on the course, so please listen to their instructions.
Are headphones allowed during the race?
As this is not run on any roads, headphones are allowed, but please ensure you listen out for any marshal instructions and be aware of other people running around you.
Will there be Photographers during the race?
Our official race photographer APN Sports Photography will be on hand to take photos of competitors, and these will be available for you to download for free after the race at https://facebook.com/ApnSports/
