COVID-19 – Offerton 5 Multi-Terrain Race

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE

Entrants to this year’s Offerton 5 Multi-Terrain Race should have received an email notifying them that we have taken the decision to cancel this year’s race because of uncertainty over the government’s social distancing and lockdown policies to control the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although it may have been possible to try and reschedule for later in summer, it’s likely that the race calendar will be crowded with other summer races doing the same thing. Entrants have been offered the choice of carrying over their entries to the 2021 Race, which will be on Wed 16 June at 7.15pm or a refund (less a small admin fee).

If you entered and did NOT receive notice of the cancellation by email, please get in touch at stockport10@hotmail.co.uk and let us know if you’d like your entry carried forward or a refund. Every cloud has a silver lining and in our case it is that the local authority is building a new crossing over the Goyt this summer, which may give us the opportunity to tweak the route in 2021 to shift more of the route onto the scenic Goyt River valley paths.
